If you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to taste Michelin-level chocolate without hopping a flight to Paris, North City San Marcos is about to deliver.

Chef Annaluna Karkar’s creations
To celebrate National Chocolate Day, World Chocolate Masters finalist and Netflix star Christophe Rull (you might recognize him from Bake Squad) is teaming up with Annaluna Karkar, an Italian-trained chocolatier with a flair for edible art, for a two-day pop-up at Christophe Rull Patisserie in North City.
This isn’t your standard truffle situation. Annaluna’s chocolates are intricate, modern, and inspired by her Mediterranean roots — think Walnut Cinnamon Baklava Bars, Raspberry Tea + Pistachio Crisps, and Dark Chocolate Peppermint “Stems” that look almost too pretty to eat (almost).
Pair that with Rull’s signature pastries — crafted by a World Chocolate Masters finalist and Netflix personality — and you’ve got a collab that’s basically a love letter to cacao.

North City’s food scene keeps quietly leveling up, and this pop-up feels like a moment. The neighborhood’s becoming a legitimate destination for North County food lovers, and having two Michelin-trained chocolatiers behind the counter for the week? That’s just the (literal) icing on the cake
For: Chocolate lovers, foodies, & anyone who thinks “dessert” deserves its own calendar invite.
Date: October 28–29
Time: 9 AM–5 PM (or until sold out)
Where: Christophe Rull Patisserie, 251 N City Drive, San Marcos
