Carlsbad welcomes the newly renovated Cottages on Roosevelt Street and the four fabulous new food establishments that will occupy the location. These are The Plot Express, Revolution Roasters, Shootz Fish and Beer, and Stella Jean’s Ice Cream. Of note, Stella Jean’s is opening its first location in North County.
The Plot Express offers handhelds, salads, and bowls. The “handhelds” portion of the menu includes the gyro wrap with sliced lentil gyro garden greens, quinoa tabbouleh salad, and tzatziki sauce on pita bread. They also serve the classic Caesar Salad, taco salad bowl, harissa chicken shawarma, and more.
Revolution Roasters is a coffee shop where their sandwiches are just as good as their brews. Besides their specialty, brewed and limited-release coffee, they also offer baked treats and breakfast items, such as coffee cakes and morning buns.
Shootz Fish and Beer is an Oceanside original but looks to ply its trade in its North County neighbor. It is an excellent mix of fast and casual dining, reflected in its menu that offers Maui and Baja flavors. Shootz’ menu includes tacos and Hawaii-inspired poke bowls. Of course, nothing works without ice-cold, frothy beer!
Last but not least, Stella Jean’s Ice Cream is the go-to dessert after a bite at any of the three eateries mentioned above. This small-batch ice cream shop offers dazzling flavors ranging from the classics (Chocolate and Vanilla) to the unique (mango sticky rice and ube pandesal toffee).
The Cottages in North County is located at 2956 Roosevelt St, Carlsbad, CA 92008.
