Karina’s Taco Shop is ending its four-decade run in Encinitas in San Diego’s North County. The closure comes after the wake of a rent price hike, and the place where the shop once stood at 916 N. Coast Highway 101 is now on lease. The Taco Shop was part of the Karina’s Seafood group.
The closure will reportedly commence sometime in mid-November.
As its name suggests, Karina’s Taco Shop serves a variety of tacos– chicken, beef, al pastor, Cabeza, and carnitas. The Breakfast Burritos, burritos, quesadillas, tortas, and enchiladas were also hits. The establishment’s famous Bomb Burrito comes with Carne Asada, French Fries, Roll Tacos, Cheese, and Guacamole.
Before closing its doors, you may still check out Karina’s Taco Shop from Tuesdays to Sundays, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
