Officially opening on September 16th, Frontwave Arena is set to bring a significant new venue to Oceanside and the wider North County region. This state-of-the-art arena spans 170,000 square feet and will accommodate over 6,000 spectators for sports games and nearly 8,000 for concerts. It will feature a variety of amenities, including a full-service restaurant, multiple bars spread throughout the venue, concession stands, a spacious plaza, and ten high-end luxury suites.

Situated on Hero Drive, the arena will host everything from major concerts to sports matches, including becoming the new home for the San Diego Sockers and the San Diego Clippers (the G-League affiliate of the LA Clippers).

Food & Beverage Program

Frontwave Arena has teamed up with Liquid Sportsgroup to handle all things food and beverage.

For the Carnivores: Cardiff’s Seaside Market will be serving up their famous “Cardiff Crack” tri-tip in everything from nachos to a California burrito. If you’ve never tried it, you’re in for a treat—it’s called crack for a reason. And if you’re craving a burger, Tanner’s Prime Burgers, known for their mouthwatering smashburgers, will be flipping patties.

For the Pizza Lovers: North Park’s Gelati & Peccati will be bringing their Roman-style pizza al taglio to the arena. If pizza isn’t your thing — we recommend the Italian burrata sandwich.

Tacos, Anyone? Baja Tacos, a new concept from Brandt Beef, will be serving up tacos that are anything but basic. Think New York strip steak tacos, perfectly seasoned and wrapped in a warm tortilla. Bonus: you can finish off the savoriness with some sweet churros.

For the Sippers: Let’s not forget about the drinks. The Cutwater Cocktail Bar, from San Diego’s own Cutwater Spirits, will be mixing up cocktails. If beer’s more your speed, you’ll find plenty of that too, with spots like the Coors Light Chill Zone and Modelo Cantina.

Grand Opening: September 16th

Frontwave Arena in Oceanside is kicking off its opening with the Gold Over America Tour on September 16 and 17, 2024, starring Simone Biles and other world-class gymnasts.

Following that, the grand opening concert on October 5 will feature the alternative rock band CAKE, known for their unique sound blending rock, funk, and jazz influences. Sports fans can also look forward to a preseason showdown between the LA Clippers and the Brooklyn Nets on October 8, which will also usher in the arena’s role as the home of the San Diego Clippers (the Clippers’ G-League team) and the San Diego Sockers indoor soccer team​.
