On Thursday, November 13 at 6PM, Waverly in Cardiff-by-the-Sea will celebrate five years of coastal dining, craft cocktails, and culinary artistry with an elegant anniversary dinner led by Chef Brian Redzikowski. The celebration begins with a curated cocktail hour, featuring a selection of craft cocktails, local beer, and sommelier-paired wines. Guests can enjoy refined small bites including Caesar Twinkies, Smoked Salmon Hashbrowns, and Grilled Octopus with Salsa Verde — each thoughtfully composed with The Waverly’s playful yet elevated approach to flavor.
Before dinner, guests will be treated to a nostalgic twist: ice cream by The Creamy Boys, served straight from their iconic soft-serve trailer. It’s a lighthearted palate cleanser that perfectly bridges the cocktail hour and the main event.
The multi-course dinner highlights seasonal ingredients and local California wines, offering a thoughtful progression of flavor and balance. From Bluefin tuna with Calabrian chili tapenade to roasted beef tenderloin with black truffle, each course is paired with a boutique California wine — a seamless blend of coastal freshness and refined craftsmanship.

At the helm of The Waverly is Chef Brian Redzikowski, whose impressive career spans Le Cirque, Nobu, Joel Robuchon, and Kettner Exchange — the latter recognized by the Michelin Guide’s Bib Gourmand list. His dishes showcase precision, creativity, and a respect for ingredients, translating fine dining techniques into an approachable yet elevated coastal experience.
Limited seating is available for this one-night-only celebration. The Waverly’s 5-Year Anniversary Dinner takes place on Thursday, November 13 at 6PM at Waverly Restaurant & Lounge, located at 2005 San Elijo Avenue in Cardiff-by-the-Sea. Reservations can be made online through Open Table.
