La Jolla knows how to throw a weekend, and the La Jolla Art & Wine Festival might just be its crown jewel. On October 11–12, 2025, Girard Avenue transforms into a two-day celebration of art, wine, music, food, and community. Here’s why it deserves a spot on your fall calendar…

From intricate pen-and-ink by Featured Artist Gregg “Viz” Visintainer to glasswork, ceramics, jewelry, and photography, LJAWF is one of Southern California’s premier art festivals. Whether you’re collecting or just browsing, it’s the perfect chance to discover something new (and meet the artists behind it).
With 35+ international wineries, local breweries, and distilleries pouring, it’s less “festival bar” and more “La Jolla tasting tour.” Entry is 21+ and requires a ticket, but the vibe is unmatched.
Opera at noon? Reggae at 2? A full-blown dance band by 4? The Wine & Beer Garden doubles as a stage, with acts like Jehlad (soul), Liquid Blue (international party band), and Full Strength (San Diego’s best cover band) keeping the energy flowing all weekend.

This isn’t your average fair food. Think wood-fired pizza, street tacos, bao buns, ice cream scoops, and local comfort favorites — from vendors like Isola Pizza Bar, Belinda’s Familia Taco Shop, Mariposa Ice Cream, and more. Come hungry.
Every sip, bid, and piece of art purchased supports La Jolla public schools — over $1.2 million donated since the festival began. And the heart doesn’t stop there: thanks to the generous support of Ark Antiques, LJAWF also partners with local rescues like Born Again Animal Rescue, Friends of Cats, Free Flight, Paws 4 Thought, and many more to help pets find their forever homes.
