Where to Watch Fireworks

SoCal Soccer Complex | Oceanside

Celebrate Oceanside’s 137th birthday and Independence Day a day early on Thursday, July 3, with a free, family-friendly fireworks show at the SoCal Soccer Complex at El Corazon. Gates open at 4 PM with food trucks, games, crafts, and live music starting at 7 PM, followed by fireworks at 9 PM. Parking is $15 onsite (closes at 8:30 PM), free at Ocean Ranch Business Park (1.3-mile walk), and public transit is encouraged—no alcohol, dogs, or personal fireworks allowed.

Park Hyatt Aviara | La Costa

Celebrate the 4th of July in luxurious coastal style at Park Hyatt Aviara’s annual BBQ & Firework Spectacular in Carlsbad. From 5:00–8:30 PM, enjoy an elevated BBQ experience with mesquite-grilled meats, fresh seafood, a mac & cheese bar, and kid-friendly fare, plus live music by the Chad Rubin Band and family entertainment like balloon twisting and airbrush art. Fairgrounds | Del Mar

Celebrate the 4th of July in classic San Diego style with the Fireworks Spectacular at the San Diego County Fair. Taking place at the Corona Grandstand Stage at 9:00 PM, this is one of the best views of the show—without the crowds. Make a full day of it at the Fair, then grab your seat and watch the sky light up in red, white, and BOOM!

Bradley Park | San Marcos

Celebrate the 4th of July in San Marcos with an evening of live music, carnival games, a kid’s zone, and a dazzling fireworks show at Bradley Park. Entertainment kicks off at 5 PM with a performance by Republic of Music, and fireworks begin at 9 PM. Bring your blankets or beach chairs and enjoy this family-friendly tradition under the stars.

The OMNI | La Costa (Drone Show)

Celebrate the 4th of July at Omni La Costa’s Star-Spangled Spectacular, a festive evening of live music, family fun, and a breathtaking drone light show set to music. Taking place on the Range View Lawn from 6–9 PM, this elevated celebration features food, games, and activities like rock climbing, face painting, and inflatables—all set against a backdrop of stars and summer magic.

Poway High School | Poway

Poway celebrates the 4th with a double fireworks display lighting up the skies over Poway High School Stadium and Poway Sportsplex at 9 PM. Gates at the high school open at 6 PM with family-friendly games, activities, and a live DJ. No registration needed, just pay at the gate. Additional viewing is available at Lake Poway (with limited visibility this year); parking is free for residents and active military, $10 for non-residents.

Olive Peirce Middle School | Ramona

Celebrate the 4th of July in classic small-town style at Ramona’s Family Picnic & Fireworks Show, hosted at the back field of Olive Peirce Middle School. Starting at 4 PM, enjoy live music, food vendors, and family activities leading up to a dazzling fireworks display at 9 PM. Bring your blankets and lawn chairs for a festive evening under the stars.

Brengle Terrace Park | Vista

Celebrate the 57th Annual Independence Day Celebration at Vista’s Brengle Terrace Park on Friday, July 4, 2025. Gates open early at 7AM, with entry to the Moonlight Amphitheatre beginning at 5PM ($5 per person, sold at the door). Enjoy a special City Council presentation at 7:15 PM before the fireworks light up the sky at 9PM. Free parking available.

Grape Day Park | Escondido

Celebrate the 60th Annual Independence Day Festival in the heart of Escondido on Friday, July 4, 2025, from 4:00–9:30 PM at Grape Day Park and the California Center for the Arts. This free, family-friendly event features live music, local vendors, food trucks, a craft beer garden, and kid-friendly activities like face painting and arts & crafts. The evening culminates with a patriotic performance by the 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing Band and a dazzling fireworks show at 9 PM. Rancho Bernardo High School | Rancho Bernardo

Rancho Bernardo’s 56th Annual 4th of July Celebration returns with a full day of family-friendly festivities across Webb Park and Rancho Bernardo High School. Starting at 9 AM, enjoy patriotic ceremonies, a pet contest, live entertainment, food vendors, classic car displays, and a community parade. The celebration wraps up with live music and a spectacular fireworks show at 9 PM.

Del Mar Beach | Camp Pendleton

Celebrate Independence Day at Camp Pendleton’s Del Mar Beach Bash, open to service members and their families. Enjoy a day of beachside fun with a live DJ, vendors, a Family Fun Zone (10 AM–3 PM), and a fireworks show at 9 PM. Parking is in designated lots only, and small gas grills and open-wall tents are permitted—no pets, glass, or charcoal grills allowed.

Kellogg Park | La Jolla (Drone Show)

Celebrate the 4th of July in La Jolla with a breathtaking Drone Spectacular featuring 500 synchronized drones lighting up the sky above the shoreline. The primary viewing area is at the south end of Kellogg Park, with additional views from La Jolla Shores and nearby beaches. For an elevated experience, enjoy festive food and drinks at The Lawn at Shores Restaurant (1–9 PM) or reserve the Acapulco Room and Deck at La Jolla Shores Hotel for a private VIP viewing party.

Oceanside Independence Parade | Oceanside

Celebrate community and patriotism at the 29th Annual Oceanside Independence Parade on Saturday, June 28, 2025, starting at 10 AM. The parade travels north along Coast Highway from Wisconsin Avenue to Civic Center Drive, with festive floats, marching bands, and local organizations bringing the spirit of the 4th to life. Grab a folding chair and find a spot along the route—prime viewing is just north of Seagaze Avenue.

Independence Day Celebration | The Forum Carlsbad

Kick off the holiday weekend with Discovery Days: Independence Day Celebration at The Forum Carlsbad on Thursday, July 3 from 10 AM–12 PM. This festive, family-friendly morning features patriotic performances by the Star Spangle Sisters, hands-on activities like building your own airplane with a real pilot, and special pop-ups from local retailers — including a LEGO station, lemonade stand, and refreshments throughout the Garden Area near YETI. Free to attend with adult supervision required.

Party in the Plaza | Oceanside

4th of July Celebration Military Flyover | Oceanside

Celebrate the 4th of July in style at Mission Pacific Beach Resort in Oceanside. Patriotic Petals at the Flower Fields | Carlsbad

Even though The Flower Fields are closed for the season, you can still catch their patriotic tribute: a massive American flag made of red, white, and blue petunias blooming on a 300×170-foot hillside in Carlsbad. Visible from Palomar Airport Road, this striking display sticks around through the 4th of July — so don’t miss the drive-by view.

Party on the Patio at Little Victory | Carlsbad
